Tentay Food Sauces, Inc. (TFSI) inked an agreement with United Business Sales Corporation (UBS Corp.) for distribution of all TFSI products in Cebu last October 18, 2010 at Pino! Restaurant in Lahug, Cebu City.
Gone for almost ten years in the Visayas-Mindanao region, TFSI is making a comeback to re-strengthen the brand in the region. “In keeping up with the market, TFSI is re-strengthening the Tentay brand, not only in the country, but in foreign markets as well. We are touching bases first with the Cebu market as we believe that this market, though discriminating, has a large potential. Aside from that, Cebuanos are known for their love for family. They would do practically anything to provide for their family, like the tradition handed down to us by my mother, Aling Tentay. We also intend to re-introduce our brand in other regions of the country in the near future,” said Velia Javier-Cruz, president and CEO of TFSI.
TFSI reinvented and improved their products to offer quality sauces to the city of food fanatics. “We have reformulated our sauces, expanded to a broader product line, and improved on the quality of our sauces and our distribution system. We have also expanded to different countries in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, US, Hawaii, and Guam, to serve every Filipino family with sauces that meet international standards. Now, we are back and we are here to stay,” Cruz said.
Alphard Henri Uy, UBS Corp. operations manager, gladly welcomed Ms. Cruz in Cebu. UBS has decided to be Tentay’s exclusive distributor in Cebu. UBS is a subsidiary of Rusley Sales Corporation, the exclusive distributor of United Laboratories in the region.
The event was well attended by the local media. Members of the media enjoyed Pino! Restaurant’s fishball, squidball, calamari and spring rolls, especially when dipped in Tentay sauces.
