Sweet and Sour Chicken Soup

Ingredients (for 4 Serving)

Basket Contents

  • 2 pcs Chicken Breast
  • 2 pcs Stalks of Celery
  • 1 pc Cucumber (Pepino katamtaman ang laki)
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 10 pcs Peppercorn (Pamintang buo)
  • 1 pc Red Chili (Sili pula mahaba)
  • 1 tbsp Fish Sauce (Patis 100% Tentay)
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar (Suka Tentay)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Sugar (washed sugar or Segunda)
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 sprig Parsley Small size and chopped


  1. Cut Celery and cucumber into chunks, then slice lengthwise into thin strips
  2. Mince Garlic and Peppercorns
  3. Place the water in a Pot, add breast of chicken and bring to a boil Keep boiling until chicken is tender. Then add the minced Garlic , Peppercorn and Chili. Add the Fish Sauce (Tentay 100% Patis)
  4. Season soup with the Vinegar
  5. Add the Salt and Sugar as final touch to the boiling broth. Add the Celery and Cucumber the last and simmer for a minute.
  6. Serve in soup bowls and top with Parsley
